2K Games Reveals Mafia II DLC

The first batch of downloadable Mafia II content will be exclusive to PlayStation 3, 2K Games has announced.

First-hand buyers will be supplied with a voucher to download The Betrayal of Jimmy for free. But buy second-hand and you’ll need to spend £6.29.

Is this 2K Games’ answer to EA’s Project Ten Dollar?

The second batch of DLC – Jimmy’s Vendetta – will be offered on all three Mafia II platforms: PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

The Betrayal of Jimmy shows the mob through Jimmy’s eyes. He’s the man the mafioso calls when a ‘difficult’ job needs doing. For Jimmy there are a “dozen” missions based around rampaging through the city causing loads of mayhem. Scores will be recorded and posted automatically to leaderboards.

Jimmy’s Vendetta, meanwhile, follows Jimmy while he attempts to clean up other people’s messes in new locales and missions. Pricing will be announced at a later date.

Mafia II will be released on 27th August for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
