Killzone 3

Killzone 3 is an upcoming 2011 first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3, developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the fourth installment in the Killzone series and the first game in the series to be presented in 3D.

Sony’s first-party, PS3-exclusive Killzone 3 pits players in a David-versus-Goliath role as they shoot up enemy upon enemy in the iconic first-person shooter realm.

“It’s the story of David battling Goliath, but this time you are David. That’s the big shift in going from Killzone 2 to Killzone 3,” said Hermen Hulst, the head of Killzone’s development studio Guerrilla Games, in the GamePro article.

The studio also confirmed that the game will have 3D functionality in some capacity, that takes advantage of the new stereoscopic 3D technology. It’s becoming more and more important to jump on the bandwagon. Killzone 3 becomes the first major upcoming video game to announce 3D support.
