Lego Harry PorterLego Harry Potter: Years 1–4 is an upcoming video game in the Lego video game franchise, developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros.[2] The game is based on the Lego Harry Potter line and its storyline will cover the first four books of the Harry Potter series: Philosopher’s Stone (Sorcerer’s Stone in the U.S.), Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire.

The hallmark of the game, as with most of the Lego titles, is consequence-free exploration. As Hagrid, or Harry, or Hermione, or in fact any of 140 different playable characters (I saw Scabbers the rat and one of the Gringotts goblins also being played), players run around with abandon, and play and interact with all of the various environments, from Platform 9-and-three-quarters all the way up to Hogwarts and everywhere else in the first four Harry Potter books.

News of the game’s existence was leaked in March 2009, although rumours had been circulating since late 2008. Warner Bros officially confirmed the game in June 2009 with a targeted release of spring 2010. The official website lists the game as coming June 2010.
