Sega points to March launch for PS3 motion controlA summary of meeting document had been leaked from Sega US revealing possible upcoming Sony projects. The highlight for the document is the launch of the motion control technology and plans for Playstation 3 backward compatibility for PS2 game.

The meeting minutes which held between Sega and Sony on August 5 and had been posted up on www.neogaf.com, stated the Playstation 3 motion control tentatively will be launched at March 2010 in Japan. The predicted sales unit will be about four to five million. There will be a further discussion on Kaz Hirai’s keynote speech at the Tokyo Game Show on September 24, 2009.

On the Playstation 2 emulation, there will be a arrangement from Sony to put back the PS2 game compatibility since the removal from the original 60GB PS3. Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA) indeed wants to sell all PS2 titles on Playstation Network (PSN).

Sony Europe had yet to comment on the validity of the document. Anyway, the document also notes that the Vancouver 2010 Olympics (game) and the London Olympics 2012 (game) are a perfect opportunity for motion controller integration.
